बगलामुखी
Dasha Mahavidya · Sacred Day: Tuesday
Bagalamukhi is the eighth Mahavidya — 'the crane-faced goddess' or 'the goddess who paralyses'. She is the supreme goddess for stopping and controlling enemies. Her worship is invoked to paralyze legal cases, lawsuits, slander, enemies' tongues, and any hostile force. She represents the power of stambhana — the stopping or freezing of opposing energies. The most famous Bagalamukhi temple is at Datia, Madhya Pradesh. Her worship is popular among lawyers, politicians, and those facing hostile situations.
Golden yellow complexion, wearing yellow clothes and gold ornaments, seated on a throne. Two arms — one holds the tongue of her enemy (a demon), the other holds a club with which she strikes him on the head. Three eyes. Seated on a lotus in the midst of the ocean.
