विजय लक्ष्मी
Ashta Lakshmi · Sacred Day: Friday
Vijaya Lakshmi — also called Jaya Lakshmi — is the goddess of victory (vijaya = victory). She grants success in every endeavor, from legal battles to sports contests to spiritual struggles. She represents the wealth of triumph over every form of difficulty. Vijaya Lakshmi is especially invoked on Vijayadashami (Dussehra), the day that commemorates Rama's victory over Ravana and Durga's victory over Mahishasura — both archetypes of Vijaya Lakshmi's grace.
Eight arms holding a chakra, conch, sword, shield, noose, and in abhaya and varada mudras. Seated on a red lotus. Golden complexion. A victorious, triumphant expression.
ॐ श्री विजय लक्ष्म्यै नमः ॥
