Vidya Lakshmi is the goddess of knowledge (vidya = learning, wisdom). She represents the wealth of education, insight, and the intellectual and spiritual understanding that outlasts all material wealth. She is closely aligned with Saraswati, but with the distinct emphasis of knowledge as true wealth that cannot be stolen or lost. Students, scholars, and seekers of wisdom invoke Vidya Lakshmi especially during Navratri and Vasant Panchami.
