सन्तान लक्ष्मी
Ashta Lakshmi · Sacred Day: Friday
Santana Lakshmi is the goddess of progeny (santana = children, offspring). She blesses couples with the birth of healthy, virtuous children and guards the welfare of children from birth through adulthood. Childless couples especially invoke her along with Santana Gopala (Krishna) for the boon of offspring. She represents not just biological progeny but the continuation of one's lineage, values, and dharmic life through the next generation.
Six arms holding a child, a water pot, a sword, a shield, and in abhaya and varada mudras. Seated on a red lotus. Maternal, nurturing expression.
ॐ श्री सन्तान लक्ष्म्यै नमः ॥
