कमला
Dasha Mahavidya · Sacred Day: Friday
Kamala is the tenth and final Mahavidya — 'the lotus one'. She is the tantric form of Lakshmi, representing the full flowering of material and spiritual wealth. She is the most auspicious and accessible of the Mahavidyas, and her worship completes the Dasha Mahavidya cycle by returning from the esoteric to the beneficent. Her worship grants both material prosperity and liberation — she is the bridge between tantric and lay Hindu traditions.
Golden complexion, four arms holding lotuses, showing abhaya and varada mudras. Seated on a lotus. Flanked by four elephants — four directions — who bathe her with water from golden pots. Identical to Gaja Lakshmi but invoked in tantric worship.
