आदि लक्ष्मी
Ashta Lakshmi · Sacred Day: Friday
Adi Lakshmi is the first and original form of Lakshmi — the Primordial Mother Lakshmi. She is the source from which all other forms of Lakshmi emerge. She represents the oldest and most fundamental aspect of divine prosperity — the support of all creation and the constant companion of Vishnu (Narayana), whom she serves in his abode of Vaikuntha. Worship of Adi Lakshmi is considered the foundation of all material and spiritual prosperity, as she grants the basic blessings of existence, life, and sustenance.
Four arms holding a lotus and a white flag, with two arms in abhaya and varada mudras. Seated on a pink lotus. Often depicted serving Vishnu by pressing his feet in Vaikuntha.
