Gurupushyamrut (also called Guru Pushya Amrit) occurs when Pushya nakshatra falls on a Thursday (Guruvar). Pushya is the 'nourisher' nakshatra and Thursday is Jupiter's day — this combination is considered the most auspicious of all muhurats for wealth-related activities.
Typically occurs only 4–6 times a year. Jewellers, stock-market traders, and merchants across India specifically wait for Gurupushyamrut to launch new ventures or purchase gold.
