Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of vedpanchang.comand the VedPanchang mobile apps (together, the “Service”), operated by Panchang Platform (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them.
What the Service is
A panchang and festival calendar aligned to the Rashtriya Panchang standards, with optional convenience features (notifications, bookmarks, multi-city support, PDF export) available on the Premium tier. We do not offer kundali / birth-chart services, astrologer consultations, or remedies.
Your account
- You need to be 13 or older to create an account.
- Sign in with email or Google. You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in method secure.
- One account per person. Sharing your sign-in is allowed but discouraged — bookmarks, notification preferences, and trial history are attached to a single account.
Free tier
Every piece of content on the Service is available on the free tier: panchang, festivals, vrats, rashifal, puja vidhis, deity pages, mantras, all 13 languages. We will never paywall content.
Premium plans
- Individual (₹199 / year) — convenience features on one account across unlimited devices.
- Family (₹399 / year) — five accounts (one owner + up to four invited members). Each member has independent bookmarks, notifications, and birth profile; only billing is shared. The owner can remove members; removed members can be re-invited after a 30-day cooldown.
- Lifetime (₹1,499, one-time, first 10,000 users) — Premium on one account for as long as we operate VedPanchang. The lifetime price is locked in and does not renew.
Free trial
- New accounts get a 30-day free trial with full Premium access. No card required.
- The trial does not auto-renew. When it ends you drop to the free tier — content stays accessible, convenience features pause.
- One trial per email (after Gmail normalisation) and one trial per mobile device per 365 days. We block repeat trials on the same device / mailbox.
Billing
- Paid upgrades go through Razorpay (India), Stripe (international), Apple StoreKit, or Google Play Billing. Your payment credentials are handled entirely by those providers — we never see or store them.
- Annual subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel, at the then-current annual price. You’ll receive a reminder email 7 days before renewal.
- You can cancel any time — on web via Settings, on mobile via your App Store / Google Play subscriptions screen. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. You keep Premium until then.
Refunds
- Annual plans: refundable in full within 14 days of purchase.
- Lifetime: refundable in full within 14 days of purchase; non-refundable afterwards, per industry standard for one-time lifetime products.
- Apple / Google purchases: refund requests go through Apple or Google’s respective support — we cannot reverse a native IAP on our end, but we will honour any approved refund.
Acceptable use
Don’t try to break, scrape, spam, or redistribute the Service. Specifically:
- No automated scraping beyond a reasonable personal-browse rate.
- No attempting to bypass Premium gates, trial limits, or family seat caps.
- No using the Service to send unsolicited messages to other users or to impersonate panchang experts we haven’t endorsed.
- No reverse-engineering, decompiling, or redistributing our mobile binaries or compiled web assets.
Violations may result in account suspension without refund.
Content accuracy
We use Swiss Ephemeris (DE431) with Lahiri ayanamsha for astronomical calculations and follow Rashtriya Panchang conventions for Indian calendar events. While we strive for under-1-minute accuracy on tithi transitions, astronomical timings can still shift with refinements to the underlying ephemeris. Use the published data as guidance, not as a substitute for a qualified panchang pandit when performing time-sensitive rituals.
Liability
The Service is provided “as is”. We make no warranty that panchang data will be suitable for a specific ritual, legal, or commercial use. Our liability is capped at what you have paid us in the previous 12 months.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, unless a mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise.
Changes
We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced in-app at least 30 days before they take effect. The current version is always at vedpanchang.com/legal/terms.
