केतु
Navagraha
Ketu is the descending lunar node — the headless body of the asura Swarbhanu (Rahu's other half). Ketu represents spiritual liberation, moksha, past-life karma, detachment, mysticism, and the loss or renunciation of worldly attachments. Though feared like Rahu, Ketu is also a great liberator — his grace burns away karmic bondages. Ketu causes lunar eclipses (when his headless body swallows the moon). He is considered the most spiritual of the Navagraha and is especially important for those on the path of renunciation.
Dark smoky complexion, headless body (or with a head of a serpent). Four arms holding a club, a bow, and showing varada and abhaya mudras. Riding an eagle or a serpent. The tail of the demon Swarbhanu.
